Abstract
The study is an attempt to clarify and discuss the positioning of the teacher as a researcher and ethnographer in own classroom. The research question is how to be empowered as a researcher in own classroom and at the same time be aware of possibilities and challenges of oneís positioning? Based upon theoretical sources, the study illuminates both possibilities and challenges for the teacher as a researcher. The findings show that special attention should be paid to the teacherís theoretical background, preconceptions, presuppositions, role and perspectives as well as the choice of methodology and ethical aspects.
